A sole proprietorship for the artwork of Bethelena Knotts, a life long resident of the Jersey Shore, and perpetual beach comber. A registered nurse by training and career, Bethelena has spent decades collecting sea glass from around the world which she uses to make her art work in her little home studio just two miles from the ocean and just north of Asbury Park, NJ. A lifelong Star Trek fan, she has incorporated Star Trek themes and icons in her artwork for fellow fans, family & friends. |
Unique shadowboxes and display frames (3x5, 5x7 and 8x10) of scenes made from sea glass and other natural materials. Artwork includes Starfleet and alien vessels, pictures of family, and the perfect gifts for new babies, newlyweds, recently departed pet friends, and home warmings. |

Most of my work consists of hyper-realistic illustrations, done with a fine-tipped pen, allowing me the freedom to add intricate details and nuances to my works. Created entirely by hand, many of my pieces are done on old book pages, sheet music, or paperwork. Commonly known as “upcycling,” I love the idea of taking something old and beaten, battered and unloved, and creating something new with it. I always try to align what I create with whatever might be written on the discarded pages. This added depth leads to a fuller, more intricate piece of art. |
